Calling for police departments that resist reform to be defunded, a coalition led by ColorofChange and including Advancement Project, BYP100 and others carried boxes full of signatures to the Department of Justice last week. If the federal government wants to act to stop police violence in communities of color, the petition states, “this is how they show it.”
