Tommy is the Director of Partner Engagement & Strategic Resourcing for the Democracy Alliance. Growing up the son of a steelworker and a teacher’s aide, the values of economic, racial, and gender justice were instilled in him at a young age. Before joining the Democracy Alliance, Tommy served on the senior teams of Senator Sherrod Brown, Speaker Sara Gideon, and Equality Ohio. He’s also served as a senior advisor to state parties and candidates, focusing his work on strengthening departmental progress, cross-departmental collaboration, and organization-wide momentum. As a candidate for public office, Tommy learned firsthand the importance of a strong progressive infrastructure at the state and local level. Tommy holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a political communications certificate from Ohio University. Outside of work, you can find Tommy on the volleyball court, pickleball court, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
