The watchdog group Media Matters for America is entering a “new era,” with plans to bring increasing focus to tracking and exposing sources of “fake news” and far-right conspiracy theories. The shift is accompanied by a changing of the guard, with Executive Vice President Angelo Carusone taking over as president. Bradley Beychok, who held the post for four years, will stay on as an advisor, and serve as Chairman David Brock’s chief of staff working on new projects.
