Voting Rights in the Trump Era: A Conversation with Senator Coons

With assaults on voting rights at the state level, the loss of a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, fears of widespread voter fraud, and foreign government attempts to interfere with our election, American voting rights are at risk. Yet there is reason to be hopeful. Recent court rulings have protected the rights of voters. State legislatures are considering hundreds of bills to improve voting access. And Congress can play a key role to improve election infrastructure and boost access and integrity. Join Senator Coons and the Brennan Center to discuss the rollback of voting rights, why courts matter, and how Congress can step up to strengthen our election system. Lunch will be served.
