Suhayl is a proud Bronxite and Afro-Puerto Rican with over a decade’s worth of experience and unwavering dedication to creating powerful moments for change-makers while upholding the mission-driven values of the organizations she collaborates with. Suhayl has held various pivotal roles in renowned organizations such as Amnesty International USA and the Women’s March. At Amnesty International USA, Suhayl served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Senior Director, where she championed inclusive practices and coached senior leaders on DEI methods. During her tenure as the Chief of Staff at the Women’s March, Suhayl led mass protests on reproductive rights, playing a crucial role in organizing nationwide marches and mobilizations. She holds a B.A. in International Studies and Human Rights Advocacy from Utica University, where she gained a strong foundation in advocating for social justice. She further honed her skills through an M.S. in Urban Policy and Leadership with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership from the City University of New York at Hunter College
