Sanaa Abrar serves as Advisor of the Movement and Politics fund at the Democracy Alliance. Sanaa is an immigrant and women’s rights advocate with nonprofit organizational and policy experience. Previously as Advocacy Director at United We Dream, Sanaa worked to advance the priorities of immigrant youth at the national, state and local levels through policy, legislative and electoral intervention. Prior to that Sanaa served on the research team of EMILY’s List, electing pro-choice Democratic women to office. Sanaa holds a master’s degree in public administration from American University and a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.
