Kevin Seymore currently serves as the Operations Associate for the Democracy Alliance. Prior to joining the DA, Kevin has had the privilege of working on the local, state, and national levels of government including writing emergency response plans for county government, canvassing all over the state of Georgia in a successful attempt to stop a Republican super-majority in the state House of Representatives, and tracking ballot initiatives and ballot reform for the national premier organization dedicated to ballot measure strategy.
Kevin is also an alum of several national training cohorts such as the inaugural class of The B.L.U.E. Institute, the inaugural cohort of Collective PAC’s Black Campaign School, Young Black and Giving Back, and a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Field Organizing Fellow.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with two B.A.’s – one in English with a concentration in Rhetoric & Writing and another in Political Science. Kevin has published several articles that explore the intersections of people of color and civic engagement. He is also the curator of an online digital library that contains multimedia resources that promote racial equity.
Kevin is committed to becoming a progressive political generalist and organizer who works on behalf of people of color to bridge the gap between policy shapers and marginalized demographics. His career muses include the legendary Shirley Chisholm, activist Bayard Rustin, literary giant James Baldwin, and campaign strategist Bill Lynch.
