Serving as Deputy Director of the New American Majority Fund, Dondy Marie brings over 10 years experience as a successful resource organizer and leadership coach. Informed by prior experience in community organizing and organizational development, Dondy Marie’s approach to grantee engagement is that it is but one of the many forms of collaboration necessary to strengthen organizations and interconnected social justice movements.
Prior to joining the team, Dondy Marie led organizational development and fundraising as the Managing Director of Pennsylvania Stands Up, a statewide power building organization focused on low income and working class communities. She provided strategic leadership and oversight of 4 multi-million statewide campaigns including budget and financial management, preparation of regrants, legal compliance, human resources management, reporting and evaluation systems, and risk management. Prior work experience includes senior leadership positions at organizations focused on building long-term infrastructure for social justice movements at the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, People’s Action and PICO California.
Dondy Marie’s work has focused on developing partnerships, leadership coaching and technical assistance, and securing resources for BIPOC led and serving organizations at the local and state level. Dondy Marie earned a bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and resides in Bergen County, New Jersey.
