Dana Hall is the Program Manager for the New American Majority Fund. Prior to joining the Democracy Alliance, she served as a Legislative Assistant in the DC City Council focusing on education, human services, and public transportation issues.
Dana played an instrumental role in 3 City Council and State Board of Education races from 2014 – 2016 and also worked at the Aspen Institute in the Socrates program during that time. There, she coordinated policy focused roundtable seminars. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Dana worked at the Children’s Defense Fund as a program associate for the Freedom Schools program.
Dana is a graduate of Howard University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy and Public Administration from American University. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of Aya Inc., a non-profit organization that fosters mentor relationships between high school and college students through the lens of professional development, entrepreneurship and leadership workshops.
Dana is engaged to Jonathan Murphy and has a daughter, Zora Murphy.
