Jillian Murphy is the Strategy and Planning Manager for the Democracy Alliance’s Climate Fund. She most recently worked as the Associate Director of Climate Communications at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, where she directed CAP Action’s political and electoral engagement on climate change and environmental issues. Prior to CAP Action she worked as the director for surrogate operations for the Climate Action Campaign, the national coordinated campaign dedicated to mobilizing Americans from every walk of life in support of climate action, where she was responsible for cultivating relationships with and training campaign surrogates across the country. She also directed the campaign’s programs partnering with the Latino, health, and labor communities. She previously worked in communications and campaign roles for both Earthjustice and Environment America. A native of Atlanta, Murphy graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with degrees in botany, environmental science, and Latin American studies. She lives in Maryland with her husband, cat, and dog.
