Since 2016, CLASP has helped defeat efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and end Medicaid expansion. They fought back against threats to health care, nutrition assistance, and young people of color; won the largest increase in federal child care assistance in the program’s history; and supported state implementation of positive policy steps like paid family and medical leave and improved workforce training and post-secondary access.

With the National Immigration Law Center, CLASP recently launched the Protecting Immigrant Families campaign to fight back against a proposed rule change from the Trump Administration. CLASP is seeking to generate comments in opposition to the changes to demonstrate public opposition to the rule, slow the rule making process down, and create a basis to challenge the regulation in court if the Administration does not respond to concerns raised. Comments may be submitted directly through the comment portal at until December 10, 2018.
